Pompey moved back to the top of the table after a 3-1 win in the League Two fixture played at Abbey Stadium on Oct 10, 2015 between Cambridge United and Portsmouth in front of a crowd of 6,607. Pompey fell behind to a controversial early goal by Robbie Simpson (5 mins) and were trailing at half time. As the players left the field a bizarre altercation led to the dismissal of the U's Mark Roberts and Pompey assistant manager Leam Richardson. The second half saw Pompey dominate and get their rewards as first an own goal by Leon Legge (67 mins) and a double from Matt Tubbs (69 and 87 mins) sealed the points. There was still time for Gareth Evans to receive a red card for a bad challenge in the last moments of the match.
